SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it's alarmed with regards to the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area regularly. The assistance issue made for intervention experiences a substantial influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to enable the servicing of all shoppers and boost access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency here said.
