SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed in regards to the high amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The assistance issue created for intervention experiences a higher inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all clients and improve usage of Social Assistance products and sassa status services,” the agency said.
